Ryan S. Moore

Associate

Ryan Moore is an associate attorney in the firm’s Parkersburg, West Virginia office with hands-on experience with a variety of complex litigation matters.

Ryan has years of experience as national counsel defending a Fortune 500 company in thousands of lawsuits brought in state and federal court across the country. In this role, Ryan has litigated complex discovery issues relating to the preservation and collection of electronic discovery, defended and taken several depositions of key witnesses, managed large-scale discovery productions and privilege designations, led and participated in discovery meet-and-confers, and more. In addition, Ryan has defended claims ranging from personal injury brought by individuals to claims of public nuisance and the West Virginia Consumer Credit and Protection Act brought by the Attorney General. Ryan’s experience in the national opioid litigation has given him unique insight into the challenges faced by clients involved in the complexity of mass litigation.

Ryan’s litigation experience also includes labor and employment law, including matters before the National Labor Relations Board, estate litigation, and insurance defense. Before joining the firm, Ryan worked as an Assistant Public Defender in Ohio and Deputy Public Defender in Idaho. Using his previous criminal defense background, Ryan also practices as a member of the firm’s White Collar Defense and Investigations team.

Ryan earned his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law, where he was a part of the Leadership Honors Program, earned multiple CALI Awards, and was a member of the school’s National Mock Trial Traveling Team. While a full-time law student at Dayton, Ryan took the bar exam early allowing him to practice law immediately after graduating. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Alabama. Ryan graduated from both undergraduate and law school with Honors.

Ryan is licensed to practice in West Virginia and Ohio.
